| Director message Drug Applied Research Center is pursuing the necessary community-based research in the fields of health, medicine, and related industries, along with conducting fundamental research for the production of science, as well as providing guidance and advice to policymakers and health research promoters. Society knows.
We are determined in an intimate environment through participatory management, relying on efficient human resources, multiple laboratories, equipped and focused in various fields of basic medical science, communicating with other scientific centers and attracting external credit as one of the main poles of medical research in the country especially in the field of pharmaceuticals and well-known global research centers.
With the knowledge and belief in the inherent sacredness of knowledge and research and its undeniable importance, the center will strive to develop society and observe ethical standards in research, by working together and creating transcendental motives for scientific activities, research and the efforts to promote culture. We hope that research and promotion of researchers by conducted by our research center would be a step towards the excellence of human perfection.
Our ultimate goal is to become a research pole of the country and a reliable research center in the region, which is leading the implementation of applied medical research, especially in the development of pharmaceuticals of country.
Director History
Dr Hossein Babaei is Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. He graduated in Pharmacy from School of Pharmacy-Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 1989. He then received a postgraduate scholarship from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences to study at school of pharmacy (Bradford university, UK) and received his PhD in 1998. His Pharm D thesis title was "Effect of 3-Amino Pyridine on Acetylcholine Output from Chick Biventure Muscle", and his PhD studies was about "Comparative Effects of Oestrogens and Related Substances on Vascular Smooth Muscle". Dr Babaei currently teaches Pharmacology in different PhD courses including: Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Nutrition, and also to Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry and Paramedical students at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. He has supervised more than 50 Pharm D, MSc and PhD thesis to date. Since 1999 Dr Babaei has had the following Administrative Posts:
